Favorite Abbie roles: Candy and Somersault - love and adore both roles equally
I was born in Finland but I am currently residing in Scotland where I study Film and History of Art at a university. I am an aspiring film-maker. I love quirky, off-beat, obscure and ground-breaking indie films.
I first discovered Abbie Cornish in 2006. Candy was coming out and as a fan of Heath Ledger, I was intrigued by the movie. The trailer looked amazing and the reviews were all positive and sparked my interest in Abbie. I went out and bought Somersault and fell in love with her magnetic performance. A little after I saw Candy and was totally sold. I think Abbie is such a promising actress with already an amazing body of work. I love that she prefers indie cinema and goes after challenging parts and interesting film-makers. I like that her acting is both subtle and very powerful. I also appreciate that she is a lover of animals and seems to have a heart of gold and a good head on her shoulders.

Favorite Abbie roles: Candy and Somersault, both are diverse roles and equally impressive
I was born and raised in North Carolina, which is where I live now. I'm currently out of school and my only jobs are what I choose to do. (Pretty fabulous, eh?) My hobbies are watching movies and web design. I'm a really funny and goofy girl who doesn't take herself seriously.
I was first acquainted with Abbie Cornish in 2006 when Riikka made a mention of her on her blog. I was struck by this asbolutely stunning young woman I didn't know about. I watched the trailer for Candy and I was already so compelled by this striking girl and the breathtaking imagery from the footage. I finally got my chance to see the film and I was hooked in under Abbie's spell. She was dynamic and subtle. I picked up Somersault and again was treated to another awe-inspiring performance, but totally different from Candy which became familiar to me after many viewings. I was totally sold on Miss Cornish's amazing talent. Abbie seems to be a sweet young lady, with a beautiful heart. She is one of the most promosing actresses to come along in a long time, while having a unique edge about her.
