Favorite Abbie roles: Bright Star, Candy and Somersault - love and adore these three roles equally!
I first discovered Abbie Cornish in 2006. Candy was coming out and as a fan of Heath Ledger, I was intrigued by the movie. The trailer looked amazing and the reviews were all positive and sparked my interest in Abbie. I went out and bought Somersault and fell in love with her magnetic performance. A little after I saw Candy and was totally sold. More recently, I was absolutely floored by her stunning, heartbreaking, flawless performance in Jane Campion's Bright Star. I think Abbie is such a promising actress with already an amazing body of work. I love that she prefers indie cinema and goes after challenging parts and interesting film-makers. I like that her acting is both subtle and very powerful. I also appreciate that she is a lover of animals and seems to have a heart of gold and a good head on her shoulders. Simply put - I already consider Abbie to be one of my all time favorite leading ladies!
We wish to say special thank you's to the following people for their help and kindness.
Mycah, who co-ran the site with me between 2007 and 2012. Thanks so much, lady! Mariana, Theresa, ... and everyone else who have contributed and said nice things. I really appreciate it!
