Quotes: Her Character

• "Love is a torture - love tortures me. Does love torture you? If it does, why are you laughing? I feel you in the room like a knife. You cut out my cunt, so why not cut out my heart? Your prick is a knife that hurts me. You grunt like a beautiful pig."

• "I wish my cunt could hurt you."

• My overall opinion of the film is very fickle, while I liked Abbie's character a lot, and she certainly was the driving element in the story - when the film moved back to the focus of the lead detective and her life I felt bored, but on the one hand it was a decent suspense story but had to much drama. While I'm still not for sure on if I liked the movie or not, I can tell you there are several reasons to see it. For one, We see Ms. Cornish as a fierce teenager, with dark hair and throughout the film her story is told in photographs and video camera footage where we are treated to lots of childhood pictures of Abbie that are very cute! Abbie also manages to create a character you really care for and are interested with just one major scene, there is a lot of passion in the tellings of Mickey's poetry which are scattered throughout the movie. Not an easy task - and this just being her second film you can really see all her talent! The movie might not be the most entertaining but for any fan of Abbie Cornish's you will really be intrigued by her and the character of Mickey Norris so worth a viewing one day. ;)
