“When we started talking about it, I had a certain idea of how I wanted to move the camera and I had a certain idea of how I wanted the film to feel. I am a fan of 3D. Legends is all 3D. It was conceived in 3D and, if anyone has seen it, I think the 3D is pretty friggin’ awesome. If I do say so myself. We did talk about and, in the press, there was word that we were going to do it in 3D. We really were considering it. But we had seen a bunch of tests and conversion didn’t sit with me that great. Without being baked in, it just felt a little weird. But they also showed me a test of 300 that was pretty awesome. But it didn’t feel right for this movie. It’s in eye-numbing 2D, which is also awesome.”
- Director Zack Snyder at Comic-Con
It seems Abbie didn’t attend Comic-Con but her fellow Sucker Punch co-stars did. The girls and director Zac Snyder presented the first footage and gave a panel discussion for fans. The footage shown surely sounds awesome and I hope it makes its way online very soon!
ComingSoon.net live blogged the event yesterday on their website and this is what they reported back on:
Geoff Boucher suggests that the presentation for Sucker Punch could be another “firecracker” that’s been lit in Hall H at Comic-Con and he introduces Zack Snyder who comes out to big cheers, and he’s being asked a few general questions about the movie.
Zack says he’s been working on the movie for eight years or longer, and that he was a fan of fantasy and that he just had this journey he wanted to “torture these girls with” and they agreed. (The girls being the female cast mentioned above.)
They’re bringing out those very same girls before showing the footage. Out comes Carla Gugino, Jamie Chung, Vanessa Hudgens, Jenna Malone and Emily Browning, and they followed with an insane montage of footage we will describe as best we can in a second.

Check out these awesome character posters for Sucker Punch! We get a nice look at a very cool Sweet Pea. At the least this film will be great to see a totally different kind of role for Abbie Cornish! I’m pretty excited!
Set in the 1950s, Sucker Punch follows Babydoll who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.
You can check out bigger versions of the posters by clicking on them below, and don’t miss the new official site that also went live today.

Abbie is featured in the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign for Maticevski, Melbourne-based fashion house, whom she has worn to premieres and events several times in the past. She looks so stunning in the ad and it is nice to see her modeling for a lesser known Australian label.
