All of our pages have been updated and re-done in the process. We have especially made an effort to spruce up the filmography, as we first and foremost admire Abbie’s work as an actress and aim for the site to demonstrate that. The streaming Video Vault is also now back and revamped with plenty of new video additions!

With this update I’ll also announce that I’m officially back as a webmistress here at Abbie Cornish Online. As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been doing a bit of updating here and there these past few months and I have now officially decided to return to the site. This fall will, however, be busy as I head back to the university but Mycah and I will be working together to bring your an often updated and comprehensive fan run source on Miss Cornish.

Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga’Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie’s. The film is based on the first three books in the series.

Turns out though, she’s more of a TuPac. “Yeah for sure [I'm a romantic],” she said. “I do read and write poetry and lyrics as well. I love music. Music’s a big thing for me. I guess the most contemporary version of poetry would be rap and hip-hop. And I love hip hop. I emcee. I’m a rapper as well.”

Unfortunately, Abbie wouldn’t spit a rhyme or two for us but promises that “next time” she meets up with reporter Josh Horowitz then she just might do it. And, maybe next time she’ll also bring a few of the poems that she says have been written about her by lovers- past, and, perhaps, present.

“Ah yeah,” she responded when asked if she’s ever had a real-life suitor write her romantic poems. But she wouldn’t reveal if one of those suitors include Ryan Phillippe. “Oh, take it easy! Good try though.”

Ryan Phillippe is speaking out in the March 2008 issue of W about Abbie Cornish for the first time. We all know the gossip by now and while we do try to stear clear of too much gossipy materal as much as possible, this is an official statement none the less.

“She and I are close friends, and as far as if there is any future, that is not where we are at now, that is what other people like to say or like to assume. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a friendship, and we are getting to know each other in a really difficult situation.”

“I would say that things are never as simple as it’s made out to be in the tabloid press. It was unfair for her to be called the names that she was, because it wasn’t about that. I don’t think an outside person can ever cause a divorce. I had difficulties in my relationship, and in my marriage, long before I ever met her.”

Furthermore, on February 12th, E! News touched base on the subject and in a news segment showed an interview with Abbie (which was recorded at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival). I have added captures of that as well as put it in the video vault for those of you who wish to download.

They showed an exclusive feature on The Golden Age last friday, and in that while it was mostly about the lovely Cate Blanchett, there was a brief new scene shown which featured Abbie Cornish and Clive Owen. I uploaded the clip to the video vault and added a few captures to the gallery.
