On February 24, Abbie Cornish attended a Habitat for Humanity benefit hosted by Veuve Clicquot. It was Tube-a-Thon Benefit and Abbie looked liked she had a ton of fun playing in the snow at Adventure Ridge Tube Park in Vail, Colorado!

Miss Cornish attended Vanity Fair’s Campaign Hollywood 2011 – Chrysler Celebrates The Fighter event in Hollywood last night, benefiting Communities in Schools. While she may not be like a Virgin to the Festival de Cannes, Madonna plans to head back to the Croisette in May to present her feature film W.E., French newspaper Le Parisien/Aujourd’hui reported on Thursday.

The material girl will first screen her film privately for select distributors in Berlin next month.

W.E. stars Abbie Cornish and Oscar Isaac in the film about parallel stories of the early 20th century love affair between Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII and a modern romance.

Selection for the title in Cannes won’t be official until fest artistic director Thierry Fremaux makes his final statement in April.

Abbie Cornish was honored at the 2011 G’Day USA Ball yesterday held on famed Sunset Boulevard. She looked stunning in a black floor length, figure hugging lace gown by Elie Saab and accented with a silver cuff and drop earrings, as well as a ring on her left hand.

Abbie was presented the Excellence in Film award by Sucker Punch director Zac Snyder. It was the third anniversary of late great Australian actor Heath Ledger‘s passing and Cornish dedicated her G’day USA Award to him. She made an emotional speech about her Candy co-star and his pivotal influence on her career.

She told a story about shooting Bright Star in London and requiring a new trailer because hers was too small. Four trailers arrived and she randomly picked one. It turned out to be Ledger’s former trailer and they found a hotel room key he had used and a stash of vitamin pills. Before closing she accepted the accolade in “Heath’s memory”.

Miss Cornish looked very chic while keeping it warm in a purple coat and black tights when she attended the Miu Miu Store Launch Dinner in London back on December 3, 2010.
