An article about screenwriter Ian David was published today from the Sydney Morning Herald stating that he has been writing a blackly comic film, Mondo, based on the mafia’s grip on Griffith in the 1970s, including the murder of the anti-drugs campaigner Donald Mackay and mentioned among names to maybe star is Abbie Cornish:

With Jonathan Teplitzky (Gettin’ Square) as director, Guy Pearce is down to play a Robert Trimboli-style crime boss, with Abbie Cornish also keen on a major role.

Although the project isn’t mentioned anymore in the article and it is about Ian David, if you are interested you can read the entire thing here. Hopefully we will here something else regarding this soon!
